NEW CONTACTS - EXPORT PLASTIC
Interpack is the largest international packaging and processing fair and one of the most important in Europe. Held from12 - 18 May in Düsseldorf, Germany, the event featured the participation of 15 Brazilian companies associated with the Export Plastic Program. They were able to show their products, make new contacts and know the global market trends.
During the fair, the program fostered 561 business contacts with international buyers from 23 countries, including the United States, Germany, Argentina, Turkey, France, Italy, Japan and Chile. The results generated US $ 45 thousand in business. The development of these contacts will generate, for members, sales of around $ 9 million over the next 12 months.
Cromex, Brazilian leader in the production of colour masterbatches and additives for plastics, also highlighted the importance of Interpack as an opportunity to prospect customers and promote the brand, as the company operates in Europe through local distributors. "The program helped us to make new business contacts with buyers, especially Europeans," said Margaret Barbosa, a company executive.
Interpack is held every three years and this was the third participation of the Program and its members. 2011 edition was attended by about 2,750 exhibitors from 60 countries.
